Bulletin staff Johan Newby ( right ) and Kathy Dunsmuir, recent arrivals from Auckland, enjoyed their first fall of snow in Ohakune last Saturday morning. Snow fell steadily during the day throughout the Waimarino and about 10cm (3-4in) were recorded. Turoa Skifield reported a fall of 34cm (14in) in 24 hours.
