Brochure for Raetihi

Raetihi is not to have a Public Relations Officer this year, but is instead producing a promotional brochure. Following Murray Mason's resignation as Raetihi's PRO earlier this year no replacement was appointed. The local business community however was determined to put Raetihi 'on the map' and decided to fund a 2-colour brochure that would feature Raetihi as 'the gateway' to Mt Ruapehu's two skifields — Whakapapa and Turoa. The brochure will include a pictorial map of the area showing some of the recreational and sporting pursuits

— hunting, fishing, tramping canoeing, rafting, horse trekking etc as well as skiing — available from Raetihi. A stylised location map will show the relationship of the town to the mountain and the major access roads. The brochure will also feature a street map showing the location of all the amenities — accommodation, shopping, sports facilities etc — in the town. Artwork for the Raetihi brochure has already been commissioned and it is expected that about 20,000 will be printed for distribution in the major centres throughout the North Island.
