In the Hack races the word “placed” means running first or second and the third in cases where more than three horses start. All races will be ruu, and the meeting- held, subject to the Rules of “ The North Auckland Racing Association.” All protests, complaints, and objections shall be heard and determined by the Stewards whose decision shall (subject however to appeal as provided by the_ Rules of the North Auckland Racing Association) be final and conclusive, and shall not he questioned in any Court. The Secretary may decline to receive any lomiuation or acceptance unless accompanied ly the necessary amount in cash. Each protest, complaint, or objection must be iccompanied by a deposit of £1 (which sum shall he forfeited if such protest, complaint or objection be not sustained). And if regarding any matter occurring between the time when the horses are placed in the starter’s hands and the weighing in, must be made within fifteen minutes after first horse passes the post. No bookmaker or other person shall bet or lay odds, as a bookmaker, on the course, or on or in any stand, paddock, or enclosure, or other place in occupation of the Club unless duly authorised in writing by the Secretary. Any person offending against this rule will he expelled from the grounds. No license will he Issued after 10 a.m. on the morning of the first day of racing. The Stewards may alter the order of events in the programme. Five per cent of the gross winnings of each owner will be deducted for the expenses of the course. Age, pedigree, and performance of horses must be stated in nomination. Colours to he worn by riders must be stated on or before Ihursday, 17th December, and owners failin'* to do so will be compelled to run in colours entered by the Secretary on their behalf. Any horse winning a hanpicap on the flat of or exceeding 25 sovs. in value after the declaration of weights, will he required to earrv a penalty of 71bs in all flat handicaps. The winnar of the Northern Wairoa Cup will be required to carry a penalty of 71ds in the ■Railway Plate anb Gumdiggers’ Purse, in ad” dition to any other penalty incurred. GENERAL ENTRIES. Entries for the Hack Race aud Maiden Plate close with the Secretary at Dargavilie Ok Thursdajq 10th December, at 9 p.m NOMINATIONS. Nominations for all races elose with the Secretary at Dargavilie on Monday, November 30 th. at 9 p.m. Weights for races “to be run on the first day will be declared on or before, or a* soon as soon as convenient after, Friday 4th December. ’ ACCEPTANCES. Acceptances for races to he run on the first day close with the Secretary at Dargavilie on Thursday, 17th December, it 9 p.m Weights for races to he run on the second day will be declared at 10 p.m on the first day of racing.
