DARGAVILLE LIBRARY AND READING ROOM.

During the past week so ire 150 volumes have been added to the Library. They arrived from England per ‘ R uapeiiu ’ The Committee had selected arid sent to Mudri’a for thorn in dune last. They consist of books by the following authors : Crawford Barrie, LeFann, W. Collins, JBesant, Mrs H, Woods, Smart, Mrs Oliphanr, Smedley, etc. The institution is in a flourishing condition and now consists of 1272 volumes, viz., fiction 940, history 69. biography 53, geography 40, scientific 51, poetry 11, .essays, pictures, etc. 45, magazines 88,and 18 miscr-llamo ft. It is open three nights a week from 7 to 10 and is generally well attended.
