OPEN LETTER. R. HOBBS begs to assure his Country Customers that it is from ao want of enterprise that he does not send out duly appointed Travellers to wait upon them at their own homes, but he has good reason for believing that the country is being too much travelled, and that Travellers in the Drapery line are becoming as great a nuisance as the ‘ Book Fiends.’ The fact also, that the great «ost ot salary and commission on sales, added to the travelling, expenses, has to be paid by somebody, will at once demonstrate the faet that it is far better to deal direct with head quarters, and without the intervention of ‘ middlemen.’ At the prices we are now selling for cash over the counter, we could not possibly incur an expenditure for paid agents, which, at least, amounts to ten per cent, on the cost of goods, but we can supply all who send their orders direct to head quarters, at the very same prices as buying for cash over the counter, and this we invite Country Customers to do. We ask for but one trial to prove, that wo ean buy and sell as cheap as any other house in the Colony. Country Orders are a leading feature in the business, and reeeivo vary eareful and prompt attention. Patterns sent post free. 288 and 290, Queen-Street, Auckland. (R. (Hobbs.
