Kaipara Heads, June 29. —Arrived : JRachcl Cohen, brigantine, from Lyttleton. Sailed: Onyx, barque, for Dunedin ; Annie Hill, schooner, for Lyttleton. June 30. —Arrived : Defiance, brigantine, from Onehunga. Tho barque Examiner left Whangarei Beads on Monday for Kaipara. The barquentine Handa Isle sailed from Auckland for the Kaipara on Wednesday afternoon. Three sailing vessels are now in Anckland Harbour, to load for New York with flax and kauri gum. The barque Albatross arrived at Hull, England on June 22nd with her cargo of timber loaded at Aratapu and Te Kopuru. She sailed from Kaipara Heads early in February. Tne Auckland barquentine Waitemata, Captain Campbell, arrived at Sydney on the 15th inst from the Kaipara. She had a narrow escape when leaving for Sydney in tow. She was just crossing the bar when a heavy squall struck her, and only that the captain quickly cut the tow line, and put on sail she must have got into dangerous waters. The •vessel shipped one heavy sea, which stove in the deckhouse. The Kauri Timber Company’s barque Killarney, which arrived at Sydney on the 16th inst.; had a rough time during the recent gale. She fell in with the storm on the 10th inst., and for two days, whilst hove-to, was buffeted by the mountainous sea, which swept away aboul 30ft of her bulwarks and caused the cargo to shift. The barque drifted 115 miles during the gale, and arrived at Sydney with a heavy list to starboard.
