PUBLIC notice is hereby given in accordance with the provisions of - The Counties Act 1886 ’ and ‘ The Rating Act 1882 ’ that at an ordinary meeting of the Hobson County Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Aratapu, on Wednesday July 12th 1893, it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a Separate rate of Sixpence per acre upon the lands principally benefited by the drainage and three pence per acre upon the lands less benefited thereby, upon the whole of the rateable property as appearing in the Special Valuation Roll for the time being in force in ‘ The Tatarariki Drainage District ’ situated in the Kopuru Riding of the Hobson County for the year commenced on the Ist day of April 1893 and ending on the 31st day of March 1894. The said separate rate to be payable in one sum to the County Clerk (Horace Hammond) at the Council Chambers, Aratapu, between the hours of ten of the forenoon and five of the afternoon of Monday 28th day of August 1893 Turther notice is hereby given that the rate book will be open for inspection at the Council Chambers by the public without fee during office hours for fourteen days preceding the 12th day of July 1893 and all appeals against the rate book in conformity with Section 19 of ‘ The Rating Act 18S2 ’ will be heard at the said ordinary meeting.
