“LUMP ’EM.”
A young Wesleyan student years ago occupied, on Sunday morning, the pulpit of one of the chapels in Manchester, and in his prayers he prayed for the Queen, Prince Albert, each of the royal babies by name, then proceeded to the Duchess of Kent, and got as far as the King of Hanover, when a blunt, honest countryman, who happened to be a worshipper, tired of his long catalogue, cried out aloud, * Lump ’em ! lump ’em !’ A hearty ‘ Amen’from the congregation testified how feelingly they entered into the countryman’s request* to, needless to say, the surprise and confusion of the ‘man in black.’
