SHIPPING NEWS.

KAIPARA Heads, May 6.— Arrived : Killamey, barque, from Sydney, She is to load back again with kauri timber. May 8, Northern Chief, barque, from Auckland. The barquentine Eio has taken in 150 tons of coal at Auckland for ballast and is on her way to this port to load timber for Sydney. The brigantine Eillan Donan has gone into the Auckland Graving Lock for an overhaul, after which she comes to this port to load timber for Sydney. The M. A. Doran is to load at Te Kopuru. The barquentine Waitemata on discharge of her cargo of coal at Auckland, where she arrived on Saturday, proceeds to this port to lead for Sydney. The s.s. Durham brought the barque Vivid up to Aratapu yesterday afternoon. The Killarney is loading at Aratapu. The Auckland Star says : “ "We are advised that the Kauri Timber Company have chartered during the last couple of weeks twelve vessels capable of carrying 2,700,000 feet of timber to load at various coastal ports for Australia. The fixtures of several of these vessels we have already published and the remainder are as follows : —The barque Killarney, now at Kaipara, and the iron barque Onyx, at Lyttelton, to proceed to the Kaipara also ; the barquentine Waitemata, about due here from Newcastle with coal: the schooners M. A. Doran and Maud Graham—the former is now on ber way to and the latter is loading at Helensville ; and the brigantine Aratapu, which left Newcastle yesterday for this -port with coal, to proceed hence to a coastal port to load back for Sydney ’’
