WHAT ADVERTISING IS.
According to authority, advertising is the public notification of fact. An advertisement drops the same thought into a thousand minds at the same moment About the only thing that can make money without advertising is the Mint. Advertising is like planting seed by artillery—it scatters it over a wide field. A business man b3gins to advertise when he puts up his sign. To stop at this is like plunging into the water and then neglecting to swim If a sign which is fully ten feet from the passer by is likely to be read how much more will a name within one foot of him (as seen in a newspaper) attract his notice !
