Lfrom our own correspondent.] A meeting- *,f the XoptLyi ¥■■>-■■(* W O ■was held in Social Hall on Monday evening ; the business being- the election of a captain in place of Mr Smith resigne i. Mr T. Elliott was elected to the position and Mr Joseph Molloy was appointed Secretary in place of Mr Elliott promoted. The first practice match is to be held tomorrow afternoon in Mr T. Webb’s paddock. The meeting of the School Committee which was to have been held on Monday was postponed until Tuesday next. The Tatarariki School, which is to be worked half-time with the Redhill School, is now ready for the furniture which will be furnished by the Board. The Board has granted our Committee half the cost of Science appliances which are being furnished for the Kopuru School. A social is to be held in the Hall tomorrow evening in connection with the Tatarariki Cricket Club. Another social is to he held on Friday, April 14th, in the same place. The purpose of this latter one being to afford an opportunity for the presentation of a testimonial to Mr Adam Barclay who resided with rrs for so many years. The public donations in aid of a County' wharf at this place are coming in fairly well, nearly every one contributing his mite.
