TOKATOKA REGATTA

The Tokatoka people were somewhat unfortunate with their regatta. A good prograunne was laid out and all arrangements made but the day originally fixed upon was too stormy for safety aud the fete was postponed to the following- Wednesday, when the weather was more favourable. The latter day of the week is an inconvenient one to many and the attendance suffered in consequence. The races were well contested and there was good sport. The following are the results : Eighteen- Feet Open Sailing Boats.— Melville Ist, C. Matthows 2nd. Maiden Single-handed Punt Rage. B, Brown Ist, D. Paton 2nd. Yacht Race.—-Demon Ist, Trixie 2nd.
