ARATAPCJv. MANGAWHARE. These two Clubs met on Saturday afternoon on the ground of the latter and a good game resulted in the defeat of the visiting team. Mansill 18, and Alex. Smith 15 were the principal scorers in the match; good ■wickets were very cheap. Mansill played a good innings for his score but at length succumbed to the good fielding of E. T. Walker who was of great service to the Aratapu team. Bayly, as a wicket keeper, showed some very good work and secured three wickets. Dargaville, 5 not out, showed what he was capable of by knocking up 35, not out, in the second innings. Rice and Masefield made smart catches, and Brown in the long field by his catches and certain fielding saved many runs and was an important factor in the victory. Messrs T. Elliott and W.
