OTICE is hereby given that the Kauri Timber Company, Limited, have appointed Mr P. LANGTON as Caretaker, cf their- Lands and forests in this District. Gumdiggers and others are hereby CAUTIONED that before digging on the Company’s Lands, permission must be obtainel by license, duly signed by those authorised to issue them, and who will explain the conditions on which such permission will be granted, the main object of which is to prevent and suppress fires, which each Summer destroy tracts of valuable Kauri Forest, a loss not only to the Company but to the District, and therefore assistance from everyone to prevent such destruction of property is looked for. Any persons TRESPASSING without such permission will be liable to Prosecution, and for the reasons given above no further licenses will be issued during the Summer Months.
