The London Times says that children in Japan match factories work from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m, with only two recesses of 30 minutes each. A wonderful flower has been discovered in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. Its chief peculiarity is the habit of changing its colours during the day. In the morning it is white, when the sun is at its zenth it is red, and at night it is blue. The red, white and blue flower grows on a tree about the size of a guava tree, and only at noon does it give out any perfume.
