CRICKET.
Last Saturday afternoon saw the Aratapu Club fully engaged, both first and second elevens. At Mangawkare the Aratapu I met the eleven of that place. Mr Mansill won the toss and put his men in on a very go6<3 wicket. Mansill and Forde made a very good stand, and afterwards Masefield assisted Mansill; the former making his 22 rapidly. After batting-two hours and a half Mangawkare declared their innings closed with the score at 97, in the hope of getting their opponents all out in the remaining hour and a quarter. At the call of time, however, they had only secured three wickets at a cost of 45 runs. MANGA WIT ARE O.C.
