The following are the changes in Police Inspectors : Broham goes from Auckland to Christchurch ; Thompson, from Wellington to New Plymouth ; Pender from Christchurch to Wellington ; Hickson, from Dunedin to Auckland ; Pardy from New Plymouth to Dunedin. EmersoD, now stationed iu Waikato, makes his headquarters at Napier. A portion of the New Plymouth district will he attached to Napier, and the Waikato district to Auckland. The only Inspector not removed is Mr McGovern, who remains in charge of the West Coast and Nelson. The Chairman of the Mount Boskill School Committee has, upon the resolution of the Committee, written to the Hoard requesting a subcommittee to the Board to meet one from the committee next Saturday to investigate certain matters connected with the recent examination. A young man named Willian Morrin, aged 25 years was playing cricket at Horseshoe Bend, near lioxburgh, on Tuesday, when he was struck on the forehead by the hall and died yesterday. Mr D. Garner Jones has been appointed to the position of assistant master at Napier Street school, though not without a good deal of opposition from some members of the Board. The voting was four in favour and three against his appointment. The Board of Education has increased the salaries of inspectors by £SO all round. Inspector Goodwin will now receive £4OO per annum and the other inspectors £350 a year, each.
