IN compliance with Section 4 of ‘ The Counties Act 1886 ’ it is hereby publicly notified that at the next ordinary meeting of the Council of Hobson County to be held at the Council Chambers, Aratapu, on Wednesday the 23rd day of November now next ; it is the intention to present a ‘ petition ’ signed by more than two-thirds of the owners of land within a certain area (described in the petition) of the Kopuru Riding, praying : Ist.—That it is desirable to construct drainage works within such area. 2nd.—That by Special Order such area be declared a Special District to be called the Tatarariki Drainage District. 3rd - —That a separate rate of sixpence per acre be levied in each year over the Special District for three years. 4th.—That the revenue from such separate rate be applied to the execution of the aforesaid [ drainage works.
