HOBSON COUNTY. THE SLAUGHTER-HOUSES ACT 1877. Notification of Appointment of Inspector under Section 25. WHEREAS by Section 25 of ‘ The Slaughterhouses Act 1877 ’ it is provided that person to be called ‘ Inspector of Abattoirs and Slaughterhouses and of Cattle intended for Slaughter ’ may be appointed for each Corporate District by the Council thereof, and that pnblic notification of every such appointment shall be made without delay. And whereas such a person has been appointed for Hobson County, a Corporat District within the intent and meaning of the said Act. Now therefore Public Notification is hereby made that in exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in the Councils of Corporate Districts by ‘ The Slaughterhouses Act 1877 ’ the Council of Hobson County, being the Council of a Corporate District to wit Hobson County, did, at a meeting of the said Council regularly held on the Fourteenth day of September 1892, appoint Horace Hammond of Aratapu, Clerk to the said Council, to be 1 Inspector of Abbatoirs and Slaughterhouses and of Cattle intended for Slaughter ’ for Hobson County, the said Corporate District. September 19.—Arrived : Antlions, brigantine, from Auckland; W. P. Weitzmaun, American four-masted schooner, from Noumea, to load timber for Melbourne. Sailed : St. Kilda, barquentine, for Sydney, with 145,000 feet of flitches and boards, loaded at Chadwick’s Mall, Pahi.
