ARATAPU MINSTRELS.

The Aratapu Minstrels gave a performance in aid of the Football Club last Saturday evening and were favored with a. good house in spite of the heavy rain + .,at fell. The Waitna footballers were in attendance and assisted in the programme. One or two of tlie jokes were good but taken as a whole they were somewhat yenerable. One was a question probably put to Noah by his wife m reference to her only hen. Mr O. Clark repeated his performance to the delight of all aud the programme was good throughout. Mr Harrison’s lament and the Troupe’s war dance formed a good finish to Chair business. Mackinnini ; song, • Dreaming' of Home and Mother,’ C. Flayles ; Finale ; interval of five minutes ; wire walking by C Clark (an excellent performance ; song, ‘ Only to See Her Face Again,’ D. Stevens: Irish jig by J. Mackinnini, as a lady football bnmmkor (encored); song, ‘ The Arab’s Farewell To His Steed/ J. Harrison ; duett. IV. Bonella and 1 . Phelan ; trapeze by C. Clark ; song and dance. J. 'Mackinnini (encored): song, 1 Tim Oid Dog Cabin in Hie Dell/ T. French : short interval ; farce, ‘ Arrival of the broad director of the Kerosene Tin Company at a country hostelry.’ The Waima visitors then appeared on the stage and sang 1 On The Ball, two ladies taking the solo part. This was followed by the song and chorus, also by Natives, ‘ Waima College Boys.’
