MASTERTON BEAT ALFREDTON. A FRIENDLY VISIT. A friendly match between a Masterton team and an eleven from Alfredton took place on the High School grounds yesterday, the home side winning by 148 runs. The wicket was in good order. Masterton were first to bat and just failed to reach 250 when the last wicket fell. Logan, McGregor, McClure and Miller were chief scorers, while Tansley was the principal bowler for tliQ visitors. Alfrcdton’s batting strength wilted before the bowling ot f Falloon, Logan, McMichael and Miller, the whole side being disposed of for 99, of which 11 Extras’’ made top score of 18. .
