Masterton.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 29.85. Shade temperature, maximum 77.4, minimum 52.4; terrestrial, 50.8; bright sunshine, 4hr 45min. Rainfall, 5 points. Solway.—'Mr. H. M. Boddington reports that six points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 a.m. yesterday.

The Government Meterologist (the Bev. D. C. Bates) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday: Present indications are fOr decreasing southerly winds, giving place to more variable breezes; weather cool and. changeable but fair to cloudy generally; barometer ’little movement, but falling again shortly. Lighting-up time—6.4l p.m.
