HALF-HOLIDAY POLL

MEETING OF THURSDAY SUPPORTERS. A meeting of those interested in & reversion to the Thursday half-holiday in Masterton Borough was held last evening, when arrangements were made to prosecute a vigorous campaign, in view of the forthcoming election. The secretary reported that he had obtained the signatures of more than 75 per cent, of the business people of Queen street, giving their support to the movement.

As many of the prominent supporters were attending a meeting of tho Beautifying Society, it was decided to defer th*e election of officers until another meeting to be held next week.
