Mr. H. H. Donald has returned to Masterton from Sydney. A London cablegram reports the death of Sir Cornthwaite Kason, former Agent-General for West Australia.
Mrs. G. S. King (Lansdowne) and her i mull daughter, Beatrice, are spending a few days with Mrs. Power, Kohiwai.
The personnel of the Pahiatua Fire Board fpr the new term is as follows: The Mayor (Mr. J. C. Crewe) and Cr. A. W. White (Borough representatives); Messrs W.A. Parton and J. W. Wesney (Insurance Co. representatives); Mr. G. H. Hodd (Government representative).
At the Featherston Presbyterian Church on Monday, Miss Dorothy Walder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walder, Sussex, England, was married to Mr. Alfred George Peene, only son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Peene, of Featherston. The bridesmaid was Miss Eva Peene, and the best nun was Mr. W. Vinton.
