4 MAURICEVILLE DAIRY COMPANY.
SUPPORT FOR CONTROL BOARD. The monthly meeting of the directors of the Mauriceville Dairy Company was held at Mauriceville on Monday. There was a full attendance, presided over by Mr. V. K. Lemberg. z The supply for the month, though lower than the previous mpnth, was eminently satisfactory, showing a very considerable increase over the supply for the corresponding month in the previous year. The quality was again up to standard, as evidencecj by the high grading points received on export butter. Considerable discussion took place over the policy of the Control. Board, the general opinion being that strong moral support should be extended to the board in their fight against vested interests, an inspired antagonistic propaganda denouncing the policy of the Board of Control, and against tho best interests of the producers of this Dominion. Tho financial position, of the company continues good, local sales showing a most satisfactory return. The pay-outs decided on for the month were: Finest Is Id; Ist grade Is Old.
The manager reported that the plant was in excellent condition, and tho staff under the new award working factories had proved satisfactory.
It was decided to make enquiries as to the cost of establishing an electric can washing machine, which in other factories had proved so satisfactorily. The number of suppliers show an increase of 52 per over last year.
