SERIOUS AFTER-EFFECT OF INFLUENZA. (Received Tuesday, 7.15 p.m.). LONDON, March 15. An uncensored message received by the “Morning Post’’ via Gibraltar states that King Alfonso’s illness, has been more serious than has been indicated. Official bulletins state that he contracted pleurro-pneumonia as an nfter-effect of influenza, end that his right lung is in a bad state. His condition throughout ene night was critical, all the Court physicians being in attendance. King Alfonso sent a message to the nation: “I have passed through three days of severe illness, but thanks be to God, the troubles are overcome. My spirits have never sunk for a moment. I never ceased thinking of my people.”—(A. and N.Z.).
