The Rev. D. C. Bates (the Government Meteorologist) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday: Present indications are for westerly breezes, veering to increasing northerlies, particularly in and south of Cook Strait; weather mild and hazy with increasing cloudiness; rain probable on the West Coast.and southern districts; barometer falling everywhere soon. Lighting-up time—6.46 p.m.
