The monthly meeting of tho Knox Ladies’ Social Guild was held on Wednesday afternoon, when various items 6f business were transacted. Musical items were contributed by Miss Thompson, Mrs. N. H. Prior and Mrs. Alexander (songs), and Misses ‘Campbell and Thompson (pianoforte duet.) A competition was won -by Mrs. G. J. Goldsman. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Kane, J. W. McLean and J. B. Biie. Entries for the Ahiaruhe-Ponatahi Sports Club’s electric light sports to be held at Carterton showgrounds on Saturday, March 19, elbse to-mor-row, with, the secretary P.O. Box 25, Carterton.
