SECOND MANNEQUIN PARADE.

It was unanimously declared that the parade yesterday afternoon, if possible, surpassed Tuesday’s show. The gowns again were beautiful and very much varied. “Henriette” opened in a smart coat frock with hat to match, followed by an equally attractive wrap coat in mauve velour, also a pretty hat. An exquisite reception gown in black georgette with an oxydised beaded fringe hanging from a coatee and finished with a diama*te clasp. The black dinner gown was graceful and smart. This was fashioned in georgette and gold lace. An evening gown in black sequins caused breathless admiration, but the black georgette with golden Paillettes was accorded a suitable reception—for it was warmly applauded. The golfing ensemble in green was very attractive, the spattets causing considerable comment. A smart sports suit in black and white check with black velvet waistcoat and coat looked very effective; with this was worn a blaek French sailor. A new fawn check frock of Kasha with hat to tone was very effective. A dainty evening frock in shot taffeta of lavendertone with a smart bow and rucked georgette neck was indeed delightful. Another evening gown of lemon georgette trimmed with flame chenille, was much admired, especially when worn with the evening wrap of serpent green. Once again the new season’s velour coats with squirrel collars were much admired. With these various shades were worn in the new shape felts to tone. Tho lighting effects were very well arranged, the “spot” being used to full advantage, especially with the evening gowns. The millinery and fur, all looked delightfully smart and useful, not forgetting the Spanish shawls which form cosy wraps for evening wear.

Mills’s Orchestra again discoursed suitable music for the afternoon.
