The Government Meteorologist (the Rev. D. C. Bates) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—Present indications are for moderate to strong northerly winds, weather mild, skies cloudy to overcast at times, with showers, particularly in all the western districts; the barometer has a falling tendency. Masterton.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.02, falling. 'Shade temperature, maximum 67.4; minimum 58.2; terrestrial, 51.8; bright sunshine, 5 minutes. Lighting-up time—6.s3 p.m.
