Mastertoii.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.15. Shade temperature, maximum 61.8, minimum 53.8; terrestrial, 51.2; bright sunshine, 10 minutes. The Government Meteorologist (the Rev. D. C. Bates) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday: Present indications are for variable .winds, moderate to strong, north-east to south-east ruling; expect mild and humid conditions, dull and misty at times, with drizzling rain in many parts of the country; barometer unsteady. Lighting : up time —6.54 p.m.
