Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Barrer and Miss Barrer returned yesterday from Wellington, where they attended various functions in connection with the Royal visit.

The death took place at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. C. Hopkins, at Makairo, on Monday, of Mrs. Maria Lucy Edge, relict of the late Jacob Edge, and an erstwhile resident of Pleckville, at the age of 81 years. Mr. F. J. Spora, of the New Zealand Tourist Department, who is managing the tour of the New South Wales bowlers in New Zealand, is visiting Masteiton with the team.
