RECORD PRICES

DUNEDIN' WOOL SALE.

HALFBRED REACHES 25d.

KEEN CONTINENTAL DEMAND,

DUNEDIN, March 8.

The third wool sale of the Dunedin

series was concluded to-day. A total of 26,903 bales was offered for the sale, some 1003 more than the second Dunedin sale. Practically a complete clearance was made under the hammer at prices that must be considered satisfactory to growers. Bidding from the commencement was very keen, and this keenness was maintained right through the series. Bradford and America operated freely, but compcti-

t:on from Continental buyers made the sale move from the start to the finish, the bulk of the offering falling to their bids. The wool was in excellent condition. Compared with the February sale held hero, values were fully maintained, and taking into consideration the fact of the quality and condition, prices in all grades were firmer. From the outset it was apparent that the demand was exceptionally keen, especially from Continental buyers, and whenever wools suitable for their requirements were submitted they would not be denied.
