MR. E. LEE PALMER.
BODY FOUND BY SEARCH PARTY.
BLENHEIM March 7,
The body of the young schoolteacher, Mr. Eric -Lee Palmer, who had been missing from Wharanui since Sunday last, was discovered by a search party from Blenheim yesterday. Evidently Mr. Palmer died from exhaustion. There was a gun beside the body. It held a cartridge. An inquest
is being held on the spot to-day, and the body is being Juried where it was found owing to the extreme difficulty of bringing it out. Mr. Palmer was educated at Wellington College and Victoria Univer-
sity College, and was known by his associates as “Sam.” He also studied at the Wellington Training College, and was a member of the teaching staff of the Hataitai and schools.—(P.A.)
