CONTROL OF RACING.
MEETING OF MAS ’.’BRTON STEWARDS. PREPARATIONS FOR AUTUMN MEETING. A meeting of the Stewards’ Committee of the Masterton Racing Club was held last night, Mr. J. lorns presiding. It was decided to nominate Messrs. C F. Vallance and W. E. Bidwill, as representatives of the Wairarapa district, on the District Committee. The Ground Committee was authorised to spend another £5O with which to complete the course improvements. The President (Mr. C. F. Vallance) and Messrs. J. lorns, ,11. Morrison and R McKenzie were appointed a depu-« tation to wait on the Holidays Com-j mittee of the Employers’ Federation: requesting that the shops observe a holiday on the day of the club’s : autumn meeting.
