Masterton.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.35. Shade temperature, maximum 79.2, minimum 48.6; terrestrial, 38.8; bright sunshine, lOhrs.
The Dominion Meteorologist (the Rev. D. C. Bates) reported at 4 p.m. yesterday:—Present indications are for freshening easterly to northerly winds northwards of East Cape and Kawhia, and northerlies elsewhere; weather warm and sultry, with haze and cloudiness increasing and a change following. The barometer is falling.
