PERSONAL.

Superintendent Emmerson will arrive in Masterton this morning to supervise and control the work of the police escort at to-morrow’s celebrations. He returns to Wellington to-morrow afternoon ahead of the Royal Paty to take charge of the traffic in the city on the arrival of the Duke and Duchess. Mr. A. M. Mowlem S.M. left for Dannevirke last week with the intention of returning to take the southern courts. The condition of his health prevented this, and he went on to Auckland, where it became necessary for him to undergo an operation. His condition is now reported to be satisfactory.
