OFFERINGS IN PROSPECT. With regard to*, the sale of Mr. A. McDonald’s Martian colt to Mr. E. E. Jolly, of South Australia, Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. observe ir. a report: “Thq sale of this colt together with the qther good sales made by Messrs W’right, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., of pasged in lots at their ;sale, many of wffieh /have been disposed. of at substantial prices, is further proof that there is a big future ahead of the Trentham sales. The expressed intentions of breeders already point to the fact that for next year’s sale there will be a magnificent offering. Messrs G. M. Currie, lan Duncan and T. H. Lowry have already advised the Wellington firm that they will be extending their entries next January to 10 yearlings each. Other breeders are also promising excellent support.”
