A meeting of tho committee of the Combined Atheltic and Sports Club was held on Tuesday night, those present being: Messrs. H. Buck (chairman), F. L. Combs, C. J. Bishop, G. Vincent, R. Tait and J. B Br t (secretary). The secretary reportfd that the elub had a credit balance of SSO. The ehairman stated that the meeting had Ibeen cal]ed to make the preliminary arrangements for the improvements to the recreation grouids. He moved that tho committee assemble on the ground on Thursday evening and discuss the laying out of the ground. The secretary was instructed to get into touch with the secretary of the football elub with a view to arranging a match early in the season, the pro ceeds to be entirely for the improvement of the ground. It was also decided to consider holding a dance for the same purpose. The secretary was instructed to write to the Tennis Club asking for the levy due last year. The question of making the shower .baths and dressing shed on the recreation ground more accessible was left to the chairman and secretary, with power to act. ’ Bowling.
