PAHIATUA SUPPLEMENTARY EWE FAIR. The Wairarapa Farmens’ Co-op. Association Ltd., stock department, report on the above sale as follows: The yarding camo forward in excess of advertised numbers, about 8800 bping yarded. Buyers were present from all parts of thQ Manaw'atu, Southern Hawke’s Bay, Wairarapa and local districts. The offoring included some particularly good lines of 4-year and 4 and 5-year ewes,, the best of which showed a considerable increase on our last Pahiatua Fair, due, no doubt, to the recent rain and the increased inquiry for superior lines of breeding ewes. In 4-year-old ewes (special lines only quoted) we sold: 495 on account R. B. Robertson (Pongaroa), which topped the market at 22/1; 170 on account J. Breeds, 19/10; 430 on account Saunders Estate, 19/4; 134- 4 and 5-year on account W. Mitchell, 19/; 50, do, 16/7 (a run-out of these ewes was sold at our previous fair at 17/); 110 on account A. H. Daken, 17/6; 408 on account H. Frederickson, 16/1 to 16/11; 171 on account W. T. Wilton, 16/; 216 on account W. T. Keddell, 16/; 132, on account J. B. Carruthers, 15/; 307 5-year ewes ac* count Saunders Estate, 17/8; 83 account H. Cotter, 17/; 107, account W. Duff, 14/9; 425 account H; H. Godfrey 13/9 to 14/. Two-th ewes in good condition sold readily as follows: 95 account J. E. Hewitt (exceptionally good) 30/; 120 account F. White, 22/9; 200 account W. Mitchell 20/10; other smaller lines 24/, 22/3, 21/6, 1.9/8, 19/3; 25 stud Romney ewes, account J. E. Hewitt (without transfer) l.| gns.; aged ewes, according to condition, realised 6/2, 9/3, 10/1, 10/2, 11/1, 11/6 to 12/1; 191 good .conditioned b.f. lambs, 17/2. A few pens of wethers and small lambs made late rates. We disposed of about 8000 head.
