WAIRARAPA SINGLES TITLE. J WON BY SINCLAIR. VISIT OF HATAITAI CLUB. The Wairarapa Centre’s annual competition for the champion of champions singles, took place at Featherston on Saturday under ideal conditions and was won by Sinclair (Featherston) who defeated Bell (Park) in the final. Play commenced at 9 a.m., and under the able supervision of the Centre Secretary (Mr. C. Rea) it , proceeded smoothly to completion. The green was in excellent condition. A committee of ladies under Mrs. J. McKenzie provided refreshments. Following are the results:— First Round.—Bell (Park) beat Gregor (Greytown); Kerr (Masterton) beat Sinclair (Featherston); Robson (Martinborough) beat Hughan (Carterton). Second Round.—Sinclair beat Hughan; Bell beat Kerr; Robsoa beat Gregor. Third Round.™ Robson beat Kerr; Hu.ixlm (beat Gregor; Sinclair beat Bell. Fourth Round.—Bell beat Hughan; Sinclair beat Robson; Kerr beat Gregor. • Fifth Round.—Hughan beat Kerr; Sinclair beat Gregor; Bell beat Robson. EASY HOME VICTORY. The annual match between the Masterton and Hataitai Bowling Clubs took place on Saturday, when the city team brought eight rinks tc Masterton. Two games of sixteen heads were played and resulted in ' Masterton winning on the aggregate by ten gam as to four, while two were drawn.
