SPOILS OF OFFICE.
UPPER HOUSE APPOINTMENTS. IN NEW SOUTH WALES.
SYDNEY, February 24.
The agitation, has been renewed, in Parliamentary Labour and trades union circles for additional appointments of Labour nominees, including women, to the Legislative Council. It is felt, however, that the Governor, in view of the fact that the present Government is now in its last year of office and that twenty-nine Labour appointments hav® already been made to the Council by the Lang Government, will not agree to further appointments to the Legislative Council.—(P.A.).
