Masterton.—Mr. R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:— • February 24.—Barograph, 30.25; shade temperature, maximum, 60.8; minimum, 37.8; terrestrial, 31.0; frost, 1 degree; rainfall, 12 points; bright sunshine, 6hrs. 40mins. Solway.—Mr. H. M. Boddington reports that 11 points of rain were registered at Solway for the 24 hours up till 9 o’clock. Forecast. — Present indications are for moderate to strong easterly to northerly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napidr, and northerlies prevailing and freshening elsewhere. Weather fair and warmer, but haze and cloudiness increasing generally for a change to follow. Barometer falling everywhere soon.
