SPECIAL ADVERTISEMENTS. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. •NJOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Masterton County Council held’ on TUESDAY, the Sth day of February, 1927, the following Resolution was passed:— That in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by Section 17 of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Stronvar-Ngahape Special Rating District in the County of Masterton testified by a petition signed by not less than threo-fiourths of the Ratepayers in the said Special Rating District, the Capital Values of whose properties as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the said County are collectively greater than the Capital Values of the properties of the Ratepayers who did not so consent, the Mastertori County Council hereby resolves, by way of Special Order, as follows:— 1. —THAT the Council proceed to Raise a Loan of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£1500) for the purpost of metalling approximately 2J miles of the Stronvar Road and approximately three-quarters of a mile of the Ngahape Road in the Wainuioru Riding. 2. —THAT such Loan be called “The Masterton County Stronvar-Ngahape Special Rating District Loan of £l5OO, 1927. ’ ’ 3. —THAT the Currency of the said Loan shall be for a period of thirty-six and one half (364) years, commencing on the first day of February, 1927, ana maturing on the first day cf August, 1963. 4. —THAT the Interest on the said Loan shall be at the rate of Six Pounds (£6) per centum ‘per annum and shall be payable halflyearly on the first day of February and August in each and every year. 5. —THAT the form of security for the payment of Principal and Interest on the said Loan shall bo fifteen (15) debentures of One Hundred Pounds (£100) each and relative coupons in a form in conformity with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act. 1926.” 6. THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as Security for the repayment of the said Loan and the Interest, Sinking Fund and other charges thereon, the Special Rate of thirteen-thirty-seconds (13-32) of a Penny in the Pound Sterling on the Rateable Value (on the basis of the Capital Value) of all Rateable Property in the Stronvar-Ngahape Special Rating District in the County of Mas?
7. —THAT the Principal and Interest, shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. 8. —THAT the cost of Raising the Loan and the Interest and Sinking Fund for the first year of the said loan be paid out of the Loan. NOTICE is hereby further given that th"e above Special Order will be submitted for Confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton County Council to be held at 2 p.m. on TUESDAY, the Bth day of March, 1927, at the Council Chambers, County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Masterton County Council held on TUESDAY, the Bth day of February, 1927, the following resolution was passed:— That in Pursuance and in Exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Water Supply Act, 1908,’’ “The Counties Act, 1920,” and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows:—
That in terms of a Requisition signed by a majority of the Ratepayers supplied by the Opaki Water Races, the Masterton County Council, hereby appoints NORMAN ROBERT WYETH, farmer, of Mt. Bruce, Masterton; CHARLES KINGSTON, 'farmer, of Akura, Masterton; THOMAS UDY WELLINGTON, farmer, of Gordon Street, Masterton; RICHARD COSTELLO, farmer, of Gordon Street, Masterton,- HAROLD JOHN RAYNER, farmer, of Akura, Masterton; as Managing Ratepayers who shall have the management on behalf of the Council of the said. Water Races, and for than purpose hereby confers upon the said Managing Ratepayers, the powers of management possessed bv thd Council under Sections 46 and 47 of “ The Water Supply Act, 1908,” ami that this Special Order shan take effect on and from the data of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
Notice is hereby further given that the above Special Order will be submitted for Confirmation at an Ordinary Meeting of the Masterton Countv Council to bo held at 2 p.m. on TUESDAY, the Bth day of March, 1927, at the Council Chamber, County Office, Chapel Street, Masterton.
