MELBOURNE v. MANAWATU.

A DRAWN GAME.

PALMERSTON N., February 22. The Melbourne-Manawatu match ended in a draw. The home team batted first. The weather conditions were fine and tho wicket favoured the batsmen. Manawatu, owing to the shortness of time, declared when they had made 172 for eight wiekets (Young 41, Galliehan 30). The visitors, when stumps were drawn at six o’clock, had made 124 for the loss of four wiekets (Hendry 35, W. Armstrong 26, Onyons 27). —(P.A.)
