COURT FLOUTED.
BY DISQUALIFIED MOTORIST. CHRISTCHURCH, February 31. “Oh the face of it, it is one of the most serious offences under the Motor Vehicles Act. Here ais man deliberately flouting an order of the Court,” said Mr. Mo'sley, S.M., i> imposing a fine of £lO on John Hudson Falcon, tv ho Admitted obtaining a license after having been disqualified, and also riding a motor-cycle without a license. On the second charge the defendant was convicted and. ordered to pay costs.
It was stated that the defendant was convicted, of speeding in December, 1925, and was fined £l5 and costs. Again on March 8, last year he was convicted and his license was cancelled. for two years. Since then he had applied to the New Brighton Borough Council and had. obtained a license. He then applied to fthe Christchurch City Council for a taxi-driver’s license. The Magistrate said that he wanted it to be impressed on all motorists that if a license is suspended the order of the Court must be implicitly obeyed.
