BIG FIRE NEAR SYDNEY.
RUBBER FACTORY DAMAGED.
(Received Monday, 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, February 21.
< The factory of the General ‘Rubber Co., at Surrey Hills, was partly destroyed by fire. The damage is estimated at £9OOO.
Many of the employees narrowly escaped death owing to the rapidity with which the building filled with smoke.— (P.A.)
