The inter-provincial tennis epntest between Wellington and Canterbury was commenced this morning in line weather. In the combined doubles, Miss Tracy and Wilson beat Miss Speirs and Paterson, 6/2, 5/7, 6/3. L. Franco and Miss Howe beat Ollivier
and Miss Partridge, 6/4, 7/5. Smythe and Miss Travers Wat Angas and Mrs. Beale, 6/3, 6/2. D. France and Miss East beat Walker and Miss Farrier, 6/2, 3/6, 6/3. Malfroy and Miss North beat B. Loughuan and Mrs. Sharpe, 6/0, 6/2. All the winners are from Wellington.—(P.A.)
