GEORGE SAND’S MEMORY.
ACTION IN FRENCH COURTS. (Received Monday, 8.5 p.m.) PARIS, February 21. A case resembling the Gladstone action will shortly be heard in the French Courts. Madame Aurore Sand, a grand-daughter of George Sand, is claiming 10,000 francs from Jacques Boulanger, journalist, because he de scribed her relative as a flighty and impulsive person in an article upon George Sand’s love affairs. Madaate Aurore says it is necessary to safeguard the honour of the Sand family. — (A. and N.Z.)
