A GOOD RESPONSE.
TO PLUNKET APPEAL. OVER £lO2 COLLECTED. A very satisfactory response was made yesterday by Masterton. residents to the appeal of the Plunket Society for funds to free from debt the Karitane Hospital in Wellington. Over £lO2 was collected in the sale of flags at 2s 6d each, augmented by smaller donations. The large measure of success attained was only made possible by the indefatigable efforts of the many willing helpers. The secretary (Mrs. G. J Goldman) on behalf of the Society, wishes to thank the public and all who assisted in the, effort. A few donations have yet to be included in the official tally.
